Moving Forward in Faith
The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” Deuteronomy 31:8
Wherever you live in Ireland, or around the world, we have lived through a difficult year because of the COVID 19 pandemic. Whilst the arrival of vaccines has begun to release hope, we know it will be some time before we get back to any form of ‘normality’.
Yet in the midst of such challenging times, I believe God is saying:
It Is Time to Move Forward in Faith
The familiar words of Deuteronomy 31 bring us re-assurance, knowing that the Lord himself will go before us and will be with us. There is nothing He will ask us to do that He will leave us to alone. He will always be with us. When fear tries to grip our hearts and stall our progress, we take courage and remind ourselves that God’s word tells us not to be afraid.
So, as we press forward into the good plans that God has for our lives and for Ireland, I would encourage you to take time each day to declare God’s goodness, faithfulness and favour over your lives, families, ministries and communities.
Declarations of Faith
You may wish to adapt the following declarations of faith and intentionally make them during 2021:
- you, Lord, that my family walk in divine health, strength and protection.
- Thank you, Lord, that my family will walk in the fullness of the power of the Holy Spirit.
- Thank you, Lord, that we experience your unending supply of more than enough.
- Thank you, Lord, that we walk daily in the fullness of God’s wisdom.
- Thank you, Lord, that we experience God’s favour in every area of our lives.
- Thank you, Lord, that we dream bigger and believe for the impossible.
- Thank you, Lord, that we see Your Kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven.
Going back in is not an option
Going back to normality may seem like the easy option. However, I sense that God is saying that His divine timeline has moved forward so significantly that now is the time for the Church in Ireland to awaken to the sound of heaven and press into the end time opportunities that the Father is opening up to those who are willing to move forward in faith.
I believe more than ever there is a great harvest to be reaped in Ireland and that now is the time for the Church to arise, filled with the power of the Holy Spirit.
Father, we thank You that You never leave us or forsake us. We thank You that You lead us to triumph through Christ Jesus. We chose today to hear Your call to move forward in faith. We refuse to go back to how things were. We press into all that You have for us, declaring in faith that You are about to move mightily through those who will arise, full of the power of the Holy Spirit. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
