Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland have recently had all covid restrictions lifted.
Restrictions: limitations, restraints, controls, constraints, confinements, containments, stipulations.
Imagine if all man-made restrictions were lifted off the body of Christ!
We get a glimpse of what life was like in the book of Acts when followers of Jesus lived lives in a society without man-made structures and ungodly restrictions.
Bold and courageous, these individuals and groups unitedly spoke the truth in love and carried out exploits unshackled and untainted by many of the strangleholds we, as Christ’s followers struggle with today.
Unmuzzled and free in the Holy Spirit the body of Jesus Christ was on fire! – Holy fire! It was a force to be reckoned with in the then known paganistic Roman world. The fear of man was put to death as resurrection life, zealous evangelism, passionate prayer, contagious love and absolute truth overflowed out through every aspect of society.
Empowered from heaven the early church saw God transform society.
It’s time to pursue the presence of God like never before in our day and generation.
In His presence, things that restrict, suffocate, limit and stifle will be highlighted and dealt with.
The Kingdom of God is one of radical faith and unswerving obedience to the King.
We need an uncontaminated, pure Gospel message lived out free from idolatrous mixture and subtle syncretism. All ungodly restrictions (in whatever form they appear) need to go.
All of heaven is waiting for a radical, surrendered, intergenerational, humble army who genuinely know and love their God intimately, who demonstrate His love extravagantly and serve Him passionately without paralysing restrictions.
“Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses [who by faith have testified to the truth of God’s absolute faithfulness], stripping off every unnecessary weight and the sin which so easily and cleverly entangles us, let us run with endurance and active persistence the race that is set before us, [looking away from all that will distract us and] focusing our eyes on Jesus, who is the Author and Perfecter of faith [the first incentive for our belief and the One who brings our faith to maturity], who for the joy [of accomplishing the goal] set before Him endured the cross, disregarding the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God [revealing His deity, His authority, and the completion of His work]. Hebrews 12:1-2 Amplified Bible
Father, today we confess that we hold on to so much that would hinder You working through us, both individually and corporately. We repent for tolerating man-made restrictions and structures that have hindered Your Spirit from working in our families, communities and land as a whole.
Afresh we bow before the High King of Heaven in renewed surrender and humility of heart. Cleanse our minds, motives and hearts we pray and anoint us in these days to be Your firebrands pure and holy, fit for You, our Master’s use. Unmuzzle our voices in these days so that the pure sound of heaven may resonate through the atmosphere bringing change and Godly transformation.
Thy Kingdom come and Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven, we humbly pray with great expectation, for Your Glory Lord Jesus, Amen.
