I am strong for all things in the One who constantly infuses strength in me. Philippians 4:13 (Wuest)
God understands the very core of our being and the wiring of our lives; He made us, after all. He knows when we are overloaded and about to blow a fuse. He understands when our energy runs on empty and our emotions short-circuit. He is the One who can switch currents from negative to positive and transform our thoughts. He is the All-powerful One, the Alpha and Omega, who can flow into the capacitor of our lives, generate supernatural strength and step up our lives to fulfil His purpose. Let’s not insulate ourselves from His power to help or resist His loving hand. It’s all about staying connected and allowing God’s power to freely flow in and through our lives!
Putting today’s verse in context, Paul was speaking of “the secret of being content in any and every situation” and the secret lay in connection with Christ. He is the One who infuses strength in us and helps us persevere.
In conclusion, be strong in the Lord (draw your strength from Him and be empowered through your union with Him) and in the power of His (boundless) might. Ephesians 6:10 (AMP)
The word “strong” means to be empowered; ‘to be strengthened’. Be empowered through your union with Him. The connection is vital; it is “through… Him” and “in the Lord.” Jesus stated:
“I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me, and I in him, the same bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.” John 15:5 (WEB)
Our greatest need as believers is to stay deeply connected with Christ. Take time today to appreciate your connection and allow Him to freely flow, infusing you with fresh strength.
