God has an incredible calling on a believer’s life, it is listed in Matthew 28:19-20. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
One great truth of the Great Commission is that it equals company! We can have lots of things to give us company, such as pets, the radio in the car, friends, and so on. But there is no company like that of the living God, living inside of us.
Our verse in Matthew 28 contains a promise that says: You can be sure that I will be with you always. I will continue with you until the end of the world. This is a promise we can rely on! Believer, as we step out into the calling and commission of God, we do so equipped with God Himself; you are never alone, not even for a second.
John 14:16-17 says, and I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. You know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. Jesus here promises to give another helper, He’s called the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of truth, “who will be with you forever,… for He dwells with you and will be in you”.
Take a moment and allow this truth to saturate your heart. He is with you always and He lives inside of you. I encourage you to lean on the Holy Spirit today, acknowledge His presence in your life, and ask for a deeper revelation of Jesus. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you witness, increase opportunities and give you divine insight into lives and situations. Every day is an adventure with the Holy Spirit operating in your life.
If you’re ever in trouble, you can call the Holy Spirit to help you. He guides, He encourages, He rebukes, He speaks, and gives boldness and even gives you words to share with others. Do you need a fresh touch from the Holy Spirit today? He is more willing to fill us than we may realise.
We are never alone, never alone in any moment of any day; always have God’s company in our hearts, the Spirit of truth dwelling in us
Heavenly Father, thank You for the indwelling Holy Spirit. Spirit of truth, I acknowledge You afresh in my life, and I ask that You would fill me with boldness today, with life today, with love today, with more of Jesus today. Give me more opportunities to speak truth and life over those I will encounter. Thank You that I am never alone at any moment. Come and have Your way in my life. I need You. Amen.
